EJECTION versus EVICTION

I had two ejection cases this week.  The difference between eviction and ejection is that there was a landlord-tenant relationship in an eviction.  With an ejection, there is no relationship.  Both cases were ‘squatters’.

In the State of Hawaii, the ejection process takes much longer than the eviction process.

According to both potential clients, the wait for removal after the process service is complete is six months.  How discouraging for the owners who are losing rent, paying bills, and in one case, watching the property be damaged more weekly.
