Find an old friend for me?

I have had several requests recently from clients to find people that they have lost touch with over the years.  The clients requesting this help tend to be more “seasoned” and do not have the patience or knowledge of free online search engines and information.  

This skill is not rocket science, but it does bring a few ethical issues to light.  

Do you tell that person that there are numerous bankruptcy filings against that person?

Do you tell that person that there are other flags on that person’s records?

Have any of you ever had a client sign a contract that the information they are requesting will not be used for anything illegal?
